A girl who suffered severe personal injuries* in a car accident, is to €5 million in settlement of her High Court injury claim action.

The girl was a passenger in a car driven by her mother when the accident occurred. The mother suffered a diabetic blackout while driving and went on to the opposite side of the road and crashed into another car. The High Court was told that the girl who was in the back seat of the car, suffered depressed skull fracture and brain damage but was now entirely mobile and attending a special secondary school. The girl sued through her parents to be compensated for the severe personal injuries* she suffered.
