Pensioner awarded €58,000 in damages
An eighty three year old pensioner has been awarded over €58,000 in damages by the Circuit Court after he suffered injuries as a result of his car being hit by a Garda vehicle.

Minister for Finance says all third party claims against Setanta Insurance will be paid
The Minister for Finance, Michael Nonnan, has advised that all third party claims against Setanta Insurance Company, in liquidation, will be accepted by the Motor Insures Bureau of Ireland (MIBI).

Garda awarded €50,000 by the High Court
A Garda who suffered second-degree burns on his face, arm and chest after boiling oil was splashed over him during a call out to a domestic dispute has been awarded €50,000 by the High Court.
